0z run shows the extended cold again
« on: January 12, 2007, 08:15:45 AM »
Yesterday the models seemed to flip flop around with the cold.  That is why Accuweather brought the blowtorch back in the 15 day.  But have faith all, order was restored in the 0z and 6z runs.  The cold is back and comes back STRONG by the end of the month.  I still like our snow chances from Jan 20- Jan 30 timeframe.  The pro mets arent jumping off the cold bandwagon which is a good sign.

That's what I was seeing in the models as well... the week after next may be even colder.

You have to think that the longer we stay in the cold regime... the more likely it is at some point that a precipitation-giving system moves in on us in the cold air.
