The NWS has lowered forecasted temperatures for Thursday and Thursday night:
Quote
Thursday
Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain. Cool with highs in the lower to mid 50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

 Thursday Night
Partly cloudy and cold. Areas of frost after midnight. Lows in the lower to mid 30s. Light west winds.

If Friday morning lows verify, some areas may well get their first freeze of the season.

I fully expect NWS OHX to issue Freeze Warnings for outlying areas Thurs night. Should be a nice reminder that winter is right around the corner!

Tidbit - The NWS issues Freeze and Frost Warnings when the temp is expected below 32'F or heavy frost is expected to form during the local growing season. Local growing season is defined as before daylight savings time ends (October 29, 2006).
Views expressed are my personal views and opinions and should not take the place of official forecasts and warnings issued by the NWS and your local media.

Well I brought the two smaller plants in yesterday, so I'll be bringing the two larger ones in this afternoon when my boys get home from school.

One is a cactus...IT will be going in the garage for now.

The other large one needs to be put in the ground, but it needs to wait until spring.

Frost on the pumpkins!! :)

Davis Nolan just confirmed sleet on his way to work and another poster reported sleet in Donelson.

Won't be causing problems of course, but so odd to see that this time of year.

Hope some makes it this way..just to see...and dream....
