Just wanted to let anyone in the Dalton/Chattanooga area know about a weather position opening up locally at our local station. We do a Newswatch 10 program every weeknight. I have had the privedlege of working here and building up a pretty fast spreading weather program at the station. So much so that now as I am getting ready to check out another opportunity the need is actually there to fill a position that never used to be here. For more info just ask me on here or PM me one but basically they are looking for someone who would be in a 30 minute drive or so of the Dalton,GA area. This would be a part time position so not a lot of pay. We do have some small benefits. The position is open to basically any local weather buffs who has a decent amount of weather knowlege and would like to have an opportunity to give forecasting a try on the air to a decent amount of viewers. We have been forced to take weather coverage more seriously due to the increased viewer ship during times of severe weather so you would get a lot of experience with that. This of course is not a network job but I know we have a lot of very knowlegable weather peeps on here who would like to have some tv forecasting chances in the local area so If you would like more info feel free to ask.
