Currently, the Central E. TN Valley has gotten a period of strong winds (about 20-25 minutes of above 45 mph) and a few power outages (my power went out for 30 minutes), and just a little rain. No hail as of now. But more coming.

Just rain here. I heard some people over the radio say that they heard thunder...I saw a couple flashes of lightning myself. I did a little rain "chasing" lol.

Here are some pics.

To be completely honest, I didn't see a flash of lightening or a rumble of thunder the whole duration of the event, which was about from 3:50-6:45. No hail to speak of, just a brief moment of strong winds which quickly died down.

This post refers to Maryville, not Sewanee, as I am at home on spring break this week:

It thundered on an off all afternoon; however, there was one brief--approx. 10 min.--period in which we got about .3" of rain, pea-sized hail, and some pretty significant winds.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but we're getting reports of Pea sized hail out of the little showers moving through Huntsville/Madison.  The neat thing about it, is that the echo tops aren't over 5kft in each instance of reports thus far.  Just goes to show it doesn't take a HUGE towering cumulous to make hail ;)
Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation.
