Wow looking interesting on the Euro. Should be considerably further north of the last gulf low.

I will be on vacation in the Ozarks in NW Arkansas around Jasper during this period.  I would LOVE to get some snow while I am tucked away in my cabin with the little lady.  :D
It is beautiful up there normally, I bet it is great with a few inches of the white stuff.

GFS looks like a cold rain.  Both 2m and 850 temps are above freezing.  Gonna need some help to overcome the warm air for sure.  If it were to verify...........

I am a snow lover, but in EURO's defense, it has consistently showed the same scenario for several runs.

I spent a few days in Jasper back in 2000/2001 (i forget)... hiked about 10 miles. In chunks...Im not a hardcore hiker. Hiked at Deer, Ponca, and a couple other trails. Theres one that has a cave. if youve got a good light, you can crawl though to the other side and it opens up to a big area. But if youre claustrophobic you wont want to try that.
Id love to do that trip again sometime, Scenic Hwy 7 is beautiful.
Ive got friends in Harrison and Russellville if you need bail money  >:D

I'm hearing its going to be an all rain event for west tn, but local mets say low of 34, so theres still time for things to change.

Right now the models look a bit warm so most folks are just watching.  However, chatter continues to be lively about the potential the last week of Feb and into March.  I think we get at least one more legitimate shot at a good storm.  AO remains neg and ST jet still looks juiced.  That's a good combo for potential biggies late in the season.
