2/20-22 Snow Chances

kmem afd:
Quote
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD BACK INTO THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT
BRINGING A RETURN OF DRY WEATHER WITH TEMPERATURES REMAINING WELL
BELOW NORMAL. THIS DRY AND CHILLY PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. BY THURSDAY...SURFACE HIGH SHOULD MOVE EAST
OF THE FORECAST AREA BRINGING SOUTH WINDS AND INCREASED MOISTURE
TO THE REGION. BY THURSDAY NIGHT...A NEW STORMS SYSTEM MOVES
ACROSS NORTH TEXAS BRINGING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW THURSDAY
NIGHT
AND A CHANCE OF RAIN FOR NEXT FRIDAY.

I know it is a bit early, but is this one even worth looking at?

Bummer... I'll miss the familiar urgency of the all caps regardless of the real urgency.
A TRANQUIL WEATHER PATTERN BRINGING FAIR SKIES WILL DOMINATE THE REGION.

Not too sure about this one but the 2/13 0Z ECMWF shows a big dog coming out of the Gulf next Saturday.

Looks like the hits just keep comin'... I don't remember ever seeing this many winter threats in a season (real or not).  ::pondering::
Hire the left-handed --- its fun to watch them write.

i guess we'll get through Monday, and this one will be the next focus. If they were all coming from the same place, I'd say these are training systems...
They say to be careful what you wish for, but I (think) i'll be happy when we break out of this winter storm pattern. Could I please get a couple weeks of detox before we roll into severe storm season?  ::bagoverhead::

I can't handle this. Too much going on at once. Let me try to get through sunday and monday, and then maybe I can look towards Friday. This has been a crazy winter, that's for sure.

Tom,it looks like a nice storm so far,but we got many days to watch and root for a nicehit for us. ::pondering:: Its too early to get into specifics on who receives anything and who dont.Thats all i can tell you.

Good, I know that there is still time for a letdown, or a blizzard  ::fingerscrossed:: ::fingerscrossed::.... But its always good to know the basics up front.. Will this one come from the Gulf, or will it be another clipper??

Tom,it looks like a pretty good gulf low.Depends where it tracks.Thats always the key and how much cold air will be avaliable. I found it quite interesting to say the least.

Yepp. I still am hoping for at least 6-10 inches for my area, since the biggest so far for me was a 4 inch slushy accumulation. A couple of 1-2 inches from other snows, but none significant other than the slush.

Way too far out to make an educated guess yet...

But watch this one closely...very closely...

I'm ready for this one to be watched after the upcoming event. I hate the fact that there will be a week of suspense/letdowns, but I'll take the end result if it comes to be a good event.
