Rain overnight obliterated what little snow we got. Moderate snow at the moment from the band of precip passing over me. Maybe I'll end up with a dusting.

MEG seems to think its possible:
Quote
VERY STRONG 500MB VORT OF 40-45 UNITS
WILL DIVE SOUTHEAST INTO THE OHIO VALLEY TODAY ALONG WITH A CORE
OF -14C TO -18C 850 MB TEMPS. STEEP LOW LEVEL LAPSE RATES AND THE
STRONG VORT SHOULD GENERATE SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS BY AFTERNOON
ACROSS THE NORTH AND EAST

My guess is that its one of those deals where we wont know til its on top of us.  Sometimes these little vort maxes piddle out, however, there have been lots of examples over the years where we get a surprise inch or so out of them.  In fact, sometimes during our snow drought they have been the only snow we got.

Memphis's recorded snowfall yesterday was 5.0 inches according to the latest CLIMEM. Prelim data says KMEM recorded another 0.2 inches or so of snow this morning. Combined with the other snowfall events of the last month or so...the seasonal total at KMEM is now 6.6 inches.

That...should it hold up as expected...will officially give Memphis its first above average snowfall season since 1987-1988...seasonal average being 5.7 inches...

Parts of the city did but not the airport...which is the official site for the city (and thus what the records/stats go by). The airport only received 3 inches...
