It is nice to know I'm Northern Middle Tennesse today.

HA!  Rutherford County....You never know WHERE they'll put you...  I would like the snow back; at least I had traction on my driveway.  ::bacon:: ::doh::

Saw at school where they had bumped up totals and saw where SCK was under a WWA and wondered if OHX would follow suit.

This is a nice "surprise" I would say as, normally, one to two inches of snow is pretty good around here. But since we are just now getting over our "big time storm" many people will just brush this one off which is ok, but any snow in TN is a blessing.

I have a friend who works at an ABC affiliate in Indianapolis.  It started snowing there HOURS earlier than it was suppose to today...They are only supposed to get up to a foot... ONLY::faint::

I saw a stat on TV that the single (one-day) greatest snowfall in D.C. was 28" and this could come close.

They couLd easily get another 6 from the ull coming through tomorrow night.

And northern va deals often with the same waa issues we deal with. This is NOT normal there and they are unprepared.

Exactly how do you get prepared for a 30+" snowstorm? lol ;) I love snow, but even I would be quite scared of a 30" snowstorm. They will be stuck for days and even weeks for some people.

Its pretty bad when we're talking about another state's (450 miles away nontheless) weather. Especially when I'm from there...

I just don't know how you even brace yourself for 30 inches of snow in a single day. Can you imagine? We had 18 in a day here in '98 and it just about paralyzed us. Can you imagine if something like what DC is experiencing happened in Tennessee? People would be jumping out of high-rises. :D

Latest Radar shows banding just getting organized over the DC metro...should be quite a night for them...

So from what I gather, this tail-end snow isn't going to amount to much and the junk coming in the begininng of next week isn't going to be anything special either?

Bummer... I'll miss the familiar urgency of the all caps regardless of the real urgency.
A TRANQUIL WEATHER PATTERN BRINGING FAIR SKIES WILL DOMINATE THE REGION.

Still rain here with a temp. of 40.9-41F, we are seeing a west wind, but as soon as we turn NW I believe our temps. will really begin to bottom out.
