0z run of the gfs looks encouraging... the shortwave phasing with the low coming out of the gulf stream is giving all the models a hard time... how those two interact will be key.

maybe its just my untrained eye, but it appeared as well that 0z gfs is trying hard to get the northern stream involved.... definitely a bit cooler. Appears to be a trough north of the great lakes on the 0z that wasn't there at 12z

Time sensitive

12z gfs

0z gfs

What is Bus driver's Discretion(during school closings)?

also, do meteorlogist agree on each other's forecast, like do davis nolan, jeff ray, and lisa spencer agree on each other's forecasts, whether it be for snow amounts or 7-day forecast?
it seems like the forecast changes everytime a diffreent meteorologist is on

Bus drivers discretion means if a bus driver comes up on a road he/she doesn't think they can make it up or down, then they have the right to not pick up those kids for school. And for those kids, they do not get counted as missing school due to the fact they couldn't get their.

12z nam thickness values showing some cooling... And extremely heavy rain for nashville. East Tennessee could see some snow out of this I think. Eachmodel run is going to giveus better data, that low is sitting in a black hole in Mexico.

I'm not done with it yet. Still think there's a possibility of dynamic cooling. If the low strengthens below 1000mbs it may be an interesting Sunday.
