Right now the threat isn't big for tonight's system. My temp. is at 32.6F and I expect when the moisture gets a bit closer, the temps. will come up a bit before falling back down. Not expecting anything "big" at all. We are very dry here so even when we begin to see the radar returns show up, we may be only seeing sprinkles fall.

Most places right now are running around 35F - 36F degrees. With the the current RH we would wet bulb down to around 32F. What does work its way into the area will most likely cause temps to drop.

We have gone back up to 34.9F, so we will see these temps. bounce around all night.

Just got back to Bellevue and checked my min/max thermometer. Get this... this mornings low...14.2º. That's over 7º cooler than the airport. Radiational cooling out here is incredible!  ::wow::

Winds are kicking up out of the SW a little bit. That mixes the atmosphere (warmer due to temp inv.) and causes temps to bump up.

Temps are falling once again. Bellevue is coming in at 34.4F .Pretty good wave of precipitation moving our way ::coffee:: Looks like Sleet/Rain and ZR for areas that hit 32F . Look for IP returns on radar over the next several hours.

I know this isn't TN, but I thought this is an interesting situation up north.  It's also the first Winter Storm of the season for them.

My wife has family in Northern Wisc.  Heck they live on the lake so they are about as far north as you can get.  They love the snow up there.  I guess you have to to live up there.  I've always wanted to catch a classic snow storm up there.

Although it's not the snowiest, the 06z GFS is one of the coldest model runs I've seen for our parts overall.
