well at least we are finally goiing to get a little snow cover to our north.east mo. southern part of mo. calling for a little accumulation. that help with the cold air. should only get better from here.
I'm a little leery of the comparisons between this upcoming winter and the winters of the mid to late '70s. We typically don't fare all that well in a moderate Nino. I would feel much more comfortable if the +ENSO would begin to relax, pronto. Of course, there are lots of factors other than the ENSO phase that could play a role in this winter, so it's going to be interesting to watch. IMO, we have one good memorable snow with multiple bouts of warmer-than-average weather and some cold shots interjected, rather than an open pipeline from the arctics and repeated winter weather threats.
Not to side track this thread, but my forecasted low tonight was 32F, I am already at 31.7F and my DP is at 28.8 and continues to fall.
Nws is calling for lows in the mid to upper 20's tonight. Clay you still in Bellevue?
