Yes it seems a lot of modesl are on board with making this a strong storm.

Long range model maps-- woo hoo!  ::coffee::

It's been a long time.

Seriously, though... parts of Canada could see a few snowflakes, according to some of those maps.

I was thinking the same exact thing....nothing like a little weatherpr0n to start the morning off right.

Thanks for this guys. I was just about to log on to post about how I hate the copy and paste weather this time of the year, and now I have something to look forward to! I'm getting sick of 93 and dry every single day.

Look on the bright side. The positive phase of the PNA pattern is often the dominant climatic pattern during El Nino years.

The CPC maps in the first post are updated daily. Today really puts us back in a pretty reasonable chance of below or well below normal temperatures. The GFS has been indicating rising heights in the west with a Western Ridge building.  The GFS and its Ensembles seems to be pretty persistent with this. Euro has pointed in that direction but has not been as extreme with this. Todays run however is moving inline with the strength the GFS is forecasting. None the less we should have some fairly cool temps driven by NW flow and increased chances of precipitation.
