I think clouds those 2 nights will be hit or miss along with a few storms. Maybe the weather will hold up.

Yeah, clouds will play a factor. Also the moon will be at 50%. The good news though is this is expected to produce around 200 meteors per hour. We're hitting one of the main streams from the comets' debris path, which we haven't hit before. This could be an exceptional show. We're currently seeing 25 an hour which isn't bad for the Persieds. Also the most exciting ones to see are going to happen between 9-11pm Tuesday night, earth-grazers.

It's cranking up, 2:00 am should be our peak.  Spaceweather Radio @  http://spaceweatherradio.com/ should allow you to listen to the meteors coming through if you can't or don't want to get outside. Just over 30 an hour right now.  ::yum::

Looking forward to that ... weather looks ok over here. It will not beat what happened 10 years ago in Germany though ... 08/11/1999 I was able to see a total eclipse over here. The only one in my life time ... unless I will travel in the future ...  :)

Hang out here a few more years. We'll be under the path of totality for 41/2 mins in 8 years or so.

I don't know if you guys are into weather or not, but the clouds are supposed to thin to mostly cloudy. We might be able to see some of the brighter meteors.
