5am Update from Franklin, TN (Near Downtown)

Grass, power lines, bird feeders, car, trees everything is being covered in freezing rain and sleet. I just looked up at the street light outside and it is now about a 50/50 sleet/snow mix and its coming down at a pretty moderate pace too.

Williamson county/Coo, Springs area... FINALLY all snow, and starting to get white. The only problem is that the snow, now, is very light...

We are getting an icy mix in Southern Rutherford County.  I can see ice build-up on a small grill on our patio-it's difficult yet to see what's on the trees and everything yet.

Now, there is more snow than ice falling in my part of the county.  Nasty, nasty driving conditions...

Well it has been snowing here in Hendersonville.  Seems like a little sleet is mixing in too.  Looks like about an inch on the ground.  My driveway is covered.

Just drove into work from Mt Juliet to Nashville. Secondary roads are snow covered in spots and generally have icy patches. Interstates are slushy with snow covered just outside of Nashville (before the airport on I-40W).

Had ice on power lines at the house. They were sagging a bit. Just a dusting covered the ground.
Views expressed are my personal views and opinions and should not take the place of official forecasts and warnings issued by the NWS and your local media.

It looks like our precip has stopped for the time being.  Looks to be so much more out there though.

WFO MEG is reporting that Union City, TN, has received 2 inches of snow (as of 6:30 am), and downtown Memphis has received 1/4" of sleet.

I'll keep you posted throughout the day, and, come on over and check out my blog (I live in a suburb of Memphis).

Cookeville has an inch or so of snow.  Very fine snow, not wet or mushy.  It is still snowing, but the flakes are very small.  If this is all we get I'm going to mad!
